  • Scheduling

Taking the first step toward therapy is a powerful act of care—for yourself and your healing. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to help us get a sense of whether we’re a good fit to work together. This is a chance for you to share what’s bringing you to therapy, ask any questions you may have, and get a feel for how I work.

If it feels like a good match, we’ll move forward in scheduling your first full session. I look forward to connecting with you.

  • Fees

My standard fee is commensurate with psychotherapists practicing in Oregon. I accept self-pay clients. Some might find the self-pay option to be more desirable as it reduces the risk of concern about coverage and limitations to treatment that insurance companies can sometimes implement. It also allows for more control over confidentiality of treatment services.

I believe therapy should be accessible and will occasionally have a limited number of sliding scale spots available based on financial need. If cost is a concern, feel free to inquire about availability during our consultation.

If you have any questions about fees, superbills, or the financial side of therapy, I’m happy to talk through it during our initial phone consultation.

  • Insurance

I am in the process of credentialing with select insurance panels. At this time, I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. However, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement, depending on your plan. Your insurance provider can verify your out-of-network coverage for mental health service providers.

  • Referrals

There are some situations in which I may have to refer client(s) out to other qualified providers, whether this is due to my practice being full or recognizing that a more specialized approach may be needed for continued care.

Other instances of referrals may be to other disciplines within the medical system for further evaluations and testing. It is a part of best practices to be connected with your care team or to create one so that the whole person can be appropriately supported.

  • Cancellation Policy

Your scheduled session time is reserved just for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours' notice to avoid being charged the full session fee.

Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice—or missed appointments without notice—will be considered late cancellations or no-shows and are billed at the full session rate. A no-show is when a client does not arrive to the session within the first 15 minutes and has not contacted me.

I understand that emergencies and unexpected situations come up. The first event will be waived, but subsequent missed sessions will be charged the full session fee. Please reach out as soon as you’re able, and I’ll do my best to support rescheduling when possible.

  • No Surprises Act

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of your therapy services. This estimate outlines the fees you may be charged if you are not using insurance (self-pay or out-of-network).

You have the right to request this estimate before starting services or at any time during treatment. The goal is to ensure transparency, so you can make informed choices about your care.

If you have questions about your Good Faith Estimate or want to request one, feel free to reach out.
